White Mountain's Humane Society: Babies Galore!
On June 29th Piggie Poo picked up 25 cavies from the Humane Society in Lakeside, Arizona. All 15 sows (girl piggies) from this in-take were pregnant. Yikes!
So far we have had four litters!
New babies include Ice Princess, Tiki & Zoey (pictured right at just 1 day old!), and Henry & Snowie (already pending adoption! Wow!).The rescue holds pups until they are 6 to 7 weeks old, to ensure they are well established prior to adoption...so keep an eye out in the coming weeks for babies and mommies GALORE!!!

Rates start at just $10 per day or $60 per week!
Piggie Poo offers guinea pig boarding services to help fundraise for the rescue. All volunteers are carefully screened and highly trained in cavy husbandry and we offer only the very highest standards of care to all our guests - foster and boarders alike.
Additional services like grooming, nail clipping and anti-parasitic treatments are also available, for an additional cost.

The next Spay & Neuter Clinic is scheduled for: Thursday, August 19th
Piggie Poo Rescue is thrilled to announce that we were awarded a Spay & Neuter grant from PetSmart Charities this year!
As you know, guinea pigs are the only long lived rodent that is commonly sold in pet store unaltered. These funds will allow us to heavily subsidize the high cost of guinea pig neutering so that we are able to directly reduce the huge numbers of unwanted litters in our community.
The discounted cost of neutering is $85 and spays are $100 and includes up to 7 days of boarding, pain management and post surgical care by our expert staff as recovery is often care intensive for the piggies.
Dr. Lorna Lanman and Dr. Kevin Wright have agreed to be our Community Outreach partners for this program. Both Vets are highly experienced and successful with guinea pig neutering and we are thankful to have their support!
Please do not cotact the Vets directly. This is a Piggie Poo program and you must go through the rescue to take advantage of the opportunity.
Please call 623-551-2798 of email info@piggiepoo.org for more information.
